ON TAP
The William Jewell men's basketball team is at home for the final time this season as they host Southwest Baptist and Drury University. The Cardinals will recognize seniors
Nick Bradley and
John Ekwomadu on Saturday prior to tip off.         Â
LAST TIME OUT
The Cardinals are coming off an emotional weekend that included perhaps the biggest win of the NCAA era in a 70-69 win over No. 12 Bellarmine on Thursday followed by a tough 63-92 loss to (RV) UIndy.Â
Â
The Cardinals rallied from a 10-point half time deficit against the Knights for the win but went cold on Saturday, hitting just one three pointer through the first 38 minutes against the Greyhounds.Â
THE SERIES
This will be the ninth meeting between Southwest Baptist and the Cardinals with Jewell taking the last two, including a 91-81 win last season as non-conference opponents.Â
Â
The series with the Panthers is much deeper, dating back to the 1912-1913 season with the 2020 edition being the 138
th meeting. Drury currently leads the series 77-60 but the two teams split last year's matchups. Â
