The William Jewell men's basketball team had to hold off a furious Lindenwood rally over the final 60 seconds but escaped St. Charles with an 88-87 victory to move to 10-16 on the season and 5-13 in conference play. 

How it Happened

• Things couldn't have started better for the Cardinals who jumped out to a 12 point lead before Lindenwood scored their first point. The Lions went on a 16-7 run midway through the opening half to pull with one at 23-22. Lindenwood took their first lead with 1:16 to play in the half but a three pointer from Nick Bradley just before the buzzer made it a 39-37 Jewell lead at the break. 
• The two teams traded points for much of the second half before the Cardinals used a 9-2 run to build their advantage back to eight. Jewell led by nine with just over three minutes to play but were outscored 7-1 over the next two-plus minutes. Bradley connected on four free throws down the stretch to help secure the win. 

For the Cardinals

• Eysan Wiley poured in a career-high 34 to go along with 15 rebounds and four assists. 
• Mason Alexander added 19, Bradley 11, and Jackson Golightly 10. 
• The Cardinals shot 49% from the floor and forced the Lions into 13 turnovers which led to 22 points. 

For the Lions

• TJ Crockett scored a team-high 26 points while Cameron Scales added a double-double of 16 points and 10 boards. 
• The Lions shot 41% from the floor and connected on 25-of-31 free throws.
