HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Cardinals got off to a slow start, falling behind by 10 early, but rallied with a 21-7 run, capped by a rebound and bucket from Kobe McKinley. The two teams traded points for the remainder of the opening half as Lindenwood got two free throws just before the break to hold a 37-35 lead.
  • The Lions tried to put things away in the second half, going on top by seven with 13:29 to play. McKinley hit a three to spark the Cardinals who outscored Lindenwood 15-5 over the next four-plus minutes to put Jewell back on top by three. After trading buckets, Robbie Hanson hit a three to give the Cardinals a two possession cushion, 71-67.
