LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell men's soccer team returned to Greene Stadium on Friday night to take on McKendree. In an offensively active game, the Cardinals fell 5-2 to drop to 1-7 on the season and 1-5 in GLVC play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• McKendree took a large lead early with two goals in the first 23 minutes. 
• The Cardinals responded quickly, scoring just eight minutes later as Chris Lee sent a cross to the back side of the goal where Keaton Wiley was waiting. The senior headed it in for his first career goal. 
• McKendree grabbed the momentum back before the end of the half, scoring in the 38th minute. The Bearcats added two additional goals early in the second half. 
• In the 65th minute Walker Bond drove the far side of the sideline before sending it into the middle for Carson Lee who found the back of the goal for his second of the season. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The Cardinals were out-shot 17-8, with five shots on goal, led by Roberto Ramirez's two. 
• Jayden Hicks finished with six saves.
