CARDINAL NOTES
- The Cardinals are coming off a 37-16 loss at Missouri S&T last weekend. The Cardinals got off to a good start, taking an early 6-0 lead and played even in the second half but the Miners used a big second quarter to build an insurmountable lead.
- Anthony Pritzel leads the offense and ranks seventh in the GLVC with 162.3 passing yards per game. The redshirt senior is also seventh with 188 yards of total offense per game.
- Brady Monks moved up to No. 22 all-time with 1,677 punting yards this season. If the season ended today, the redshirt junior would also move into No. 12 with a punt average of 38.11.
- Jalik Jaggwe caught his fourth touchdown pass of the season, which ranks seventh in the GLVC. His 12 career receiving scores and 1,447 yards is up to No. 3 in the NCAA era, surpassing Jon Molzen.
- Kian Betancourt posted seven tackles on Saturday, including three for loss with two sacks. The sophomore leads the team with 2.5 sacks for 14 yards and is second with 43 total tackles.
- Kobe Oldfield and Evan Sanders have combined to cause opposing receivers problems this fall, combining for 13 defended passes, including seven in the last three games. The redshirt junior Sanders is up to fourth in the GLVC with 1.1 per game while Oldfield is seventh with 1.0.
ABOUT TRUMAN
- Truman has gone through some highs and lows this season, including a win over No. 12 Tiffin but fell on the road last week, 27-21, to Southwest Baptist to come in at 5-2 on the season and 1-2 in conference play.
- The top rushing defense in the league, the Bulldogs allow just 75.1 yards per game on the ground, while running for 197 of their own. Cody Schrader is by far the most productive player carrying the ball for Truman with 1,145 yards and 14 touchdowns, second and first in the GLVC, respectively.
- Nolan Hair has completed 30% of passes this season for 10 touchdowns on 1,261 yards. His top targets include Matt Hall and Dante Ruffin who have combined for nearly 600 yards this season.
- Defensively, Ben Thomas is seventh in the GLVC with 7.7 tackles per game and 54 total. Isaiah Estes is ninth with 7.3 takedowns per outing. Ulysses Ross is fourth on the team with 45 tackles, including 8.5 for loss to go with two forced fumble and one recovery.
- Gregg Nesbitt is in his 12th season at Truman with more than 60 wins.
