CARDINAL NOTES
  • Jewell is coming off their highest scoring weekend of the season with four goals last week against Illinois Springfield and Lewis.
  • Alex Johnson scored three of the four goals, including both against UIS. The fifth-year senior is now up to 10th in the GLVC with four on the season.
  • Clara Fronabarger handed out another three assists last week to up her season total to six, propelling her to tops in the GLVC. The freshman's total is tied for fifth best by a Cardinal in the NCAA era and second most by a Jewell freshman.
  • Emily Glassman also leads the GLVC with 6.00 saves per game. The freshman is up to 54 on the season, ninth best in the NCAA era, surpassing Jordan Lewis' 53 from 2015. She is 31 saves shy of the freshman record of 85 set by Kaylie Kappelmann in 2018.

ABOUT TRUMAN
  • Truman is one of the top teams in the GLVC entering the second-to-last week of the season, sitting at 7-3-3 overall, 6-2-3 in the league, which ranks them third.
  • The Bulldogs make a living with defense, ranking first in the GLVC in save percentage (.873) and third in shutout percentage (.538). In goal for Truman is Beth Hopwood, a Scotland native, who has played more minutes than any other GLVC keeper this fall and has 53 saves.
  • Offensively, Faith Branson leads the team with six goals and 14 total points. Hanna Hickey is close behind with four goals and 10 points.
  • Mike Cannon has led Truman since 1993 and ranks fifth among active Division II coaches in wins.

ABOUT QUINCY
  • Quincy enters the week at 4-8 on the season having dropped six of their last seven. A 1-0 win over Lewis last Friday snapped a five-game skid.
  • Four players have scored at least twice this season for the Hawks, led by Lauren Crane's five. The senior also has two assists for a team-high 12 points and 22 shots.
  • Jessica Felix boasts three goals while Aliyah Rottger has two scores and three assists.
  • Olivia Kindt has shouldered most of the keeper duties, starting 10 games. A redshirt senior, she has posted 49 saves for a save percentage of .803, seventh best in the GLVC.
  • Samuel Thomas took over the Quincy program last spring after two seasons as an assistant at Old Dominion. As a player, he was the 2010 the SLIAC Player of the Year as a goalkeeper.
