LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's basketball team had their best offensive outing of the season on Thursday night but it fell short, 74-62 to Missouri S&T. The Cardinals drop to 0-6 on the season, 0-2 in conference play. 
HOW IT HAPPENED
	- Both teams got off to a hot start, scoring a combined 22 points in the first three-and-half minutes, after a traditional three point play by Katelynn Ostronic. The Miners outscored the Cardinals 14-10 over the remainder of the opening period to lead 27-19 after 10 minutes. 
- Jewell rallied in the second quarter, going on a 14-6 run to tie the game at 33 on a bucket from Lea Finn. A layup with 1:53 made it a 39-36 Missouri S&T advantage at the break, as neither team scored the remainder of the quarter. 
- The Miners grew their lead to 10 late in the third frame but five straight points from D'Asya Collier-Williams cut the margin to just five, 56-51. 
- S&T came out strong in the fourth quarter, eventually growing their lead to a game-high of 12 late. 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
	- Collier-Williams led the Cardinals with a career-high 13 points, four rebounds and four assists while Finn added 11 points. 
- Kate Hillyer finished with nearly a double-double of 11 points and nine rebounds off the bench, while Katie Knock put in nine points, four boards and three assists. 
- Jewell shot 39% from the field, including a season-best 43% from three, going 9-of-21.

The Cardinals will travel to Springfield, Missouri on Friday for an exhibition contest with Division I Missouri State before a break until December 13 when they host Graceland.
