ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The William Jewell women's basketball team fell 98-34 on the road at No. 20 Missouri Western on Tuesday evening. The Cardinals fall to 0-7 on the season with the loss. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Griffons jumped out on top 24-8 after one quarter, limiting the Cardinals to a 21% clip from the floor. Kate Hillyer scored four points in the second quarter but Missouri Western expanded their lead to 30 by the break. 
• The Griffons continued to shoot well deep into the game, hitting 69% in the second half while the shorthanded Cardinals struggled to keep pace. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Libby Arnold posted a team-high 15 points while Hillyer pulled down eight rebounds. Casi Waterhouse and Katelynn Ostronic each had two assists.

Jewell will return home on Thursday for a matchup with Graceland University to close out the fall semester.
