MARYVILLE, Mo. - The William Jewell track and field teams opened the 2021-2022 season over the weekend at the Mel Tjeerdsma Classic, hosted by Northwest Missouri State. The Cardinals saw five athletes combine for six career bests on the day. Newcomers Justen O'Brien, Cydney Banks and Nathan Lightfoot led the charge with two top-15 finishes apiece.
