Track & Field Wraps Up Weekend at Central Methodist

FAYETTE, Mo. – Cardinal Track & Field competed at the CMU Invite over the weekend.

WOMEN

200 Meter: Kennedy Vernon clocked a 28.15.
400 Meter: Rylee Thompson finished 14^th in a time of 1:03.90.
5000 Meter: Sadie Camp was Jewell's lone competitor, taking 22:51.33.
Hammer Throw: Chanelle Anderson tossed a 17.43 meter throw in her final attempt.
Javelin Throw: Mia Ryan was Jewell's lone thrower, finishing 16^th with a 23.07 meter heave.
Shot Put: Finishing 12^th was Anderson with a distance of 10.77 meters.
Long Jump: Lux Sands led the way for Jewell, finishing 19^th in the field with a jump of 4.83 meters. Ryan was one place behind her with a 4.71 meter jump, while Rylee Thompson was 22^nd at 4.57 meters.
Discus Throw: Anderson's third attempt was her best at 23.40 meters.

MEN

200 Meter: Connor Hull clocked a 21.17, finishing third. Daniel Williams' 22.15 time was good for 22^nd. While Korbin Pugh and Chance Pinkston finished one spot from one another at 22.78 and 22.84, respectively.
400 Meter: Hull finished fifth in 47.73 seconds.
400 Meter Hurdles: Konner Poynter ran a 54.36, good for fifth.
Pole Vault: Freshman Jayden Fehler won the event, vaulting a 4.35 meter mark.
Hammer Throw: In his fifth attempt Keonne Gladden threw a 49.18 meter throw, good for sixth. While Korbin Dow finished in tenth place with a 46.26 meter toss. Jafaree Brown was 26^th with a 36.52 meter.
Shot Put: Gladden's second attempt proved his best at 14.18 meters, finishing eighth. Dow was 26^th with a 11.37 meter throw.

Jewell will be at the Kip & Kirk Invitational hosted by Central Missouri beginning on Friday.
