  • Jewell returns two players who each scored one goal last season in seniors Noah Studebaker and Alex Theissen. Studebaker hit the game tying goal in the in the 52nd minute
  • Also back is forward Noah Espinosa who led the team last season with 23 total shots. The senior is tops on the team with five career goals, with four coming in his sophomore season in 2018.
  • The goal is up for grabs despite two returning letterwinners. Jose Camberos started 11 games before suffering an injury and finished with 57 total saves which was second in the GLVC. His 13 saves at Missouri S&T set an NCAA-era record for the Cardinals and secured the tie for his first career shutout. Jayden Hicks took over following Camberos' injury, starting the final five games, while appearing in 11 total, finishing with 32 saves. Freshman Eli Gratz joins the group after a standout career at DeSoto High School in Kansas and will look to compete right away.
  • Despite just one win a year ago, expectations are raised for the Cardinals who brought in 10 freshman and three transfers in the offseason. JT Sherman is a junior midfielder from Warrensburg and enters from the junior college level at Johnson County. Nico Bosemediano is a local product of Park Hill High School and is returning to the metro for his final two seasons while Itua Ehovuon spent his undergraduate career at Park University and joins the Cardinals as a graduate student transfer.
  • Six of the 10 freshman hail from the Kansas metro, on either side of the state line, with another from further west into Kansas. Two came to The Hill from the St. Louis metro and one from McFarland, Wisconsin. The large and talented 2024 class is expected to contribute immediately.
  • Eddie Horn enters his second year at the helm, and first with a full recruiting class under his belt, after having been hired just four months prior to the start of his first season. He previously spent time as the head coach at State Fair Community College and Jefferson City High School, and two years at UMKC under Jewell Hall of Famer Chris Cissell. He is also the father of Cardinal senior midfielder Logan Horn.
