LEBANON, Ill. - The William Jewell men's soccer team fell by a final of 1-0 on Sunday in GLVC play, falling to 1-4-1. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• McKendree jumped on top early in the fifth minute on a goal by Raul Artega. 
• Jewell managed four second half shots, including one by Carson Lee in the 87th minute, but the Bearcat keeper was able to secure the shutout. 

FOR THE CARDINALS

• Ethan Nichols and Chris Lee each had two shots for the Cardinals who finished with eight total. 
• Eli Gratz posted seven saves. 

FOR THE BEARCATS

• McKendree totaled 16 saves, nine on target, led by six from Eddie Davis.
