LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell volleyball team is back in action on Saturday for another tri-match, this time at Missouri-St. Louis where they will take on their seventh nationally ranked opponent this season in the No. 10 ranked Tritons as well as Illinois Springfield.

CARDINAL NOTES
- Jewell is coming two losses last weekend at No. 1 Lewis and Lindenwood, both in three sets. The Cardinals put up a strong fight against the top ranked Flyers, falling by five points or less in each of the three sets.
- Over the weekend, senior middle blocker Lacey Albers recorded her 200th career kill and 30th service ace. The Illinois native, needed 10 kills to surpass the milestone and got 11 in the two matches.
- Haidan Baade surpassed the 300-dig milestone last week with 29 during the two matches. The sophomore needs 216 to pass Lesley Iron and join the Cardinals NCAA era top-10 list. Baade enters the week ranked seventh in the conference with 4.71 digs per set.
- Setter Hannah Cope moved up to No. 7 on the NCAA era career chart with her 362 assists. The sophomore passed Olivia Tolberd and needs 200 to move up to the sixth position. Cope leads the team with 6.50 assists per set which is ninth in the GLVC.
- Maddie Wingert leads the Cardinals with 2.28 kills per set and has 91 total this season, just seven away from 800 for her career.
ABOUT MISSOURI-ST. LOUIS
- UMSL enters the week at 8-2 overall and was ranked No. 11 in last week's national poll.
- Charlotte Richards, a 2019 All-American, is the GLVC's top attacker with 4.09 kills per set this season while setter Kaileen Herman is also tops with 11.03 assists.
- Libero Megan Woll is another player on top of the GLVC lists with 6.34 digs per set as the Tritons as a team are leading the league with 20.62.
- Ryan Young is now in his 10th season at the helm of the UMSL program and owns a record of 170-112 and is the reigning GLVC Coach of the Year.
ABOUT ILLINOIS SPRINGFIELD
- The Prairie Stars enter the tri-match at 3-10 on the year and snapped a five-game skid last week with a 3-0 win over Maryville.
- Amanda McConnell is ninth in the GLVC with 4.05 digs per set while the Stars are 13th as a team with 14.68.
- Hannah Nicholaisen leads UIS with 2.24 kills per set while Kenzie Hendon follows closely behind at 2.21.
- Trey Salinas leads the Prairie Stars, now in his sixth year and was the 2018 GLVC Coach of the Year.
