LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's soccer team hits the road the week as they travel to Lewis and Illinois Springfield. Both teams sit within two points of the Cardinals in the GLVC standings.

CARDINAL NOTES
- The Cardinals are coming off a tough 0-2 weekend that saw them drop two close matches to Southern Indiana and UIndy.
- Kayla Crowder continues to lead the way with two goals on 12 shots with nine on target.
- Jasmine Collier has handed out a team-high two assists while Lexy Hawkins and Aubrey Avalos have also scored.
- The Cardinal keepers are at the top of the GLVC in total saves as Katie Wagenheim is first with 29 for an average of 7.25 per game while Kaylie Kappelmann is third at 26 and 6.50.
ABOUT LEWIS
- The Flyers enter Friday's match at 1-5-1 on the season and dropped a pair to Quincy and Truman last week.
- As a team, Lewis is last in the GLVC in total shots with 42, led by seven form Abby Gustafson. Sisters Courtney and Cameron Sengstock have the Flyers' only goals of the season.
- Lucy Clark has started the last five games in goal and made 22 total saves while allowing seven goals.
- Chris Koenig is now in his 14th season at the helm of the Lewis program and has coached 10 All-GLVC players.
ABOUT ILLINOIS SPRINGFIELD
- The Prairie Stars are 1-6 on the season, entering this weekend, having dropped their last five.
- UIS's lone goal of the year came from Ally Lassetter, coming in a 1-0 win over UMSL in the second game of the year.
- Abby Dellamorte leads the team with 13 shots as the Stars have 66 as a team, which is 11th in the GLVC.
- Despite not scoring much, the Stars have been strong defensively. With the exception of last week's 3-0 loss to Quincy, UIS has given up only one goal in each of the previous five losses.
- Amanda Finnell has played all 650 minutes this season in goal for UIS, making 18 saves.
- Erin Egolf is in her fifth season as the head coach of UIS after a standout playing career that saw her set program records for goals and points.
