LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Maryville on Friday night at Greene Stadium. This was the first game for the Cardinals on Norris Patterson Field since November 2019 and the loss drops them to 0-2-1 on the year. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Maryville scored in the 34th minute on a goal by Dom Riggio to lead 1-0, at the break. 
• The Cardinals got a clean look on a free kick after a yellow  card but were unable to convert. 
• The Saints added two more scores in the 59th minutes and 79th minute.

FOR THE CARDINALS

• Jewell was limited to three shots, two on goal, those from Alex Thiessen and Carson Lee. 
• Eli Gratz finished with three saves. 

FOR THE SAINTS

• Maryville had 10 shots, led by five from Cedric Sengl, who had one goal and one assist.
