LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell men's soccer team dropped a 3-2 GLVC decision to Quincy University on Friday night in Greene Stadium. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Quincy broke out to a two-goal lead in the first half, scoring in the 14th and 33rd minutes, both by Cole Hayes. 
• In the 39th minute, the Cardinals were fouled in the box, resulting an a penalty kick with freshman Ethan Valenti converting to cut the deficit in half at the intermission. 
• The Hawks added an insurance goal in the 69th minute to go back on top by two.
• A little over 10 minutes later, in the 80th minute, sophomore Roberto Ramirez found the back of the net, for the first time in his career, from 25 yards out.   

FOR THE CARDINALS

• The Cardinals finished with eight shots, with two from Nico Bosmediano. 
• Eli Gratz posted four saves. 

FOR THE HAWKS

• The Hawks were held to nine shots, led by Hayes' three, all on goal. 
• Christos Kalaitzis had two saves.
