Jayaram's Late Goal Lifts Cardinals to Shutout of Truman

LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell men's soccer team earned their third win of the season on Saturday with a 1-0 victory over Truman. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The two teams combined for just four shots in the first half and were scoreless at the half. 
  • The Cardinals had six chances in the second half and took advantage of the final one as Ethan Jayaram scored on a pass from Cole Bulgren-Slack.  

FOR THE CARDINALS
  • Jewell posted seven total shots, led by two from Jayaram and Carson Lee. 
  • Eli Gratz finished with four saves.  

FOR THE BULLDOGS
  • The Bulldogs had eight total shots, four on target, led by by three players with two. 

UP NEXT
Jewell is back in action next Sunday as they host Rockhurst at 2:30 p.m.
