LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell softball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader with No. 7 Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon at Cardinal Field. The Cardinals fall to 8-20 on the season and 7-9 in GLVC action.
GAME ONE
Jewell 0, UIndy 8 (5 Inn.)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Greyhounds got on the board early in the top of the first with a two-RBI double. A three-run home run in the fourth expanded the lead to five.
- UIndy plated three more in the fifth to end the game early.
FOR THE CARDINALS
- Jewell was held to just two hits in the opener, both by Tori Farr.
- Aly Manhart (3-9) received the loss, working four innings and striking out three.
GAME TWO
Jewell 0, UIndy 3
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UIndy got two runs in the first and another in the third and were able to hold Jewell scoreless for the game two win.
