ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The William Jewell softball team fell twice at Lewis University on Saturday by finals of 10-0 and 3-0.
GAME ONE
Jewell 0, Lewis 10 (5 Inn.)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lewis opened the game with five runs in the first and added five more in the fourth.
FOR THE CARDINALS
- Jewell was held without a hit but drew four walks.
- Aly Manhart (3-11) took the loss, allowing four runs over three frames.
GAME TWO
Jewell 0, Lewis 3
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cardinals held Lewis to just one run through the first four innings before the Flyers added two more in the fifth frame.
FOR THE CARDINALS
- Kenzie Jones had two of the Cardinals three hits, both doubles, with Manhart having the other.
- Jones (2-10) suffered the loss, despite allowing just one earned run over six innings.
