LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell volleyball team is in action for the final time this week as they travel to Quincy University for a 7 p.m. matchup. This will be the third meeting between the Cardinals and Hawks this season.

CARDINAL NOTES
- Jewell enters the final weekend of the year coming off a 3-0 loss to Southwest Baptist last Friday.
- Haidan Baade continues to be one of the top liberos in the GLVC, putting in 4.71 digs per set, good enough for sixth in the league. The sophomore has posted 12 straight double-digit dig matches, since February 20.
- Hannah Cope has posted a career-best 390 assists this season, an average of 6.29 per set, which is ninth in the GLVC, highlighted by a 43-assist performance against No. 25 UIndy.
- Underclassmen continue to be the strongest from behind the service line as freshmen Katie Paine and Kaci Behrens along with sophomores Cope and Baade, have combined for 45 of the Cardinals 76 service aces on the season. As a team, Jewell is ninth in the league with 1.13 per set, the highest average for the team since 2016.
ABOUT QUINCY
- Quincy has enjoyed a turnaround season in 2021, going 14-6 after 15-17 in 2019 and an 8-21 mark as recently as 2017.
- The Hawks are second in the GLVC in kills and assists, led by Emily Rehagen and Mattie Norris who boast 3.66 and 3.26 kills per set, respectively. Makyala Knoblauch runs the offense handing out 10.47 assists per set, good enough for third in the GLVC.
- Mark Jones is in his second season at the helm of the Quincy program after two seasons as the assistant coach at Indiana State.
