QUINCY, Ill. - In their final match of the season, the William Jewell volleyball team fell 3-0 on the road at Quincy University. The Cardinals finish the abbreviated spring season at 1-19 overall and 1-17 in the GLVC.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cardinals got off to a strong start, leading Quincy 6-2 early. The Hawks rallied, eventually taking a 22-14 lead. A kill by Anna Godfredsen stopped the run but three errors gave Quincy the set.
- The Hawks opened up an early 8-3 lead in set two but kills by Godfredsen and Elizabeth Quinn pulled Jewell back within three. With the Cardinals trailing by two, the Hawks went on a 7-0 run on their way to the 25-18 win.
- After trailing by six, the Cardinals went on a 6-3 run with six kills by five different players. From there, Quincy outscored the Cards 10-2, to win 25-14.

- Three Hawks posted double digit kills, led by Emily Rehagen's 11.
- Makayla Knoblauch finished with 27 assists.

Jewell will say good bye to four seniors,
Lacey Albers,
Elizabeth Quinn,
Tori Vogt and
Maddie Wingert, who will all graduate this spring. The foursome combined for more than 2,000 kills and 718 blocks while earning 11 Academic All-GLVC honors during their careers. Jewell will welcome back 14 players next year, including the return of
Paityn Hardison who missed the final 14 matches with injury.
