Lindenwood Uses First Half Goal to Down Cardinals

ST. CHARLES, Mo. - The William Jewell men's soccer team fell 1-0 at Lindenwood University on Friday night. The Cardinals drops to 1-5 on the season, 1-3 in GLVC action. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Cardinals started fast with four shots, including three on goal, in the first 20 minutes but were unable to score.
  • Lindenwood began to find their offensive rhythm and got on the board just before the half on a goal from Zachary Flax in the 44th minute. 
  • Jewell got off five shots in the second half, but were unable to get the equalizer. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • The Cardinals were out-shot 21-9, with six shots on goal. Walker Bond and Cole Bulgren each finished with two shots with and one on goal. 
  • Eli Gratz posted nine saves. 

UP NEXT
Jewell is back in action on Sunday as they travel to take on No. 21 Maryville.
