Cardinals Drop 2-0 Decision at No. 9 Rogers State

CLAREMORE, Okla. - The William Jewell men's soccer team wrapped up non-conference play on Thursday night with No. 9 Rogers State, falling 2-0 to drop to 0-3 on the season. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Hillcats wasted no time jumping out in front, scoring just 12 seconds into the game on a goal by Jaxon Pitt. 
  • Carson Lee got off the Cardinals first attempt in the ninth minute with a shot on goal but could not convert. 
  • In the second half, much like the first, Rogers State used early momentum to score, this time in the 48th minute. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • The Cardinals were outshot 14-5, led by two from Lee. 
  • Eli Gratz totaled three saves. 

UP NEXT
Jewell is back at home this weekend as they host Southwest Baptist on Sunday in the Great Lakes Valley Conference opener. Kick off is set for 2:30 p.m.
