WARRENSBURG, Mo. - The William Jewell women's basketball team took on 11th ranked Central Missouri on Thursday night in the final non-conference game of the season. Jewell fell 97-52 to the Jennies to drop to 3-12 on the season. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• UCM jumped out to an early double digit lead but the Cardinals weathered the storm and got consecutive buckets from Kate Hillyer and Skyler Boylan to get back within four. The Jennies finished the opening quarter on a 17-4 run to hold a 33-14 lead after 10 minutes. 
• Central Missouri outscored the Cardinals 22-9 in the second quarter to hold a large lead at the break, 54-23. 
• The Cardinals put together their best frame in the third period, led by 11 combined points from Chloe Frank and Katie Knock but UCM maintained their lead through the half, winning 97-52.

KEY STATS

• Ayden Shannon led the Cardinals with 13 points while Chloe Frank added 11. 
• Jewell shot 37% from the floor but struggled from behind the arc, going 4-for-22.
