KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The William Jewell women's basketball team tied their season high with 12 three point field goals on Thursday night but came up short at Truman State, falling 73-61. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Jewell started strong, jumping out to an 11-3 lead early after threes from Libby Arnold, Skyler Boylan, and Katie Knock. The Bulldogs scored seven straight to pull within one but another Knock triple made it a 16-14 Cardinal lead after one period. 
• Truman started the second quarter on an 11-3 run to go on top by eight but the Cardinals responded with a 10-5 run, including two more threes from Arnold and Lea Finn to get back within three. The Bulldogs got an offensive rebound and hit a jumper at the buzzer to lead 36-29 at the break. 
• Truman expanded their lead to 10 early in the second half but again Jewell did not go quietly, chipping away getting threes from Knock, Elizabeth Ernsting and two from D'Aysa Collier-Williams to go back in front 49-48. 
• The Bulldogs outscored Jewell 23-12 in the final 10 minutes to hang on for the 12-point win. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Knock went 6-for-12 from the floor and tied her career high with 17 points along with seven rebounds, three assists and three steals to lead the Cardinals. 
• Collier-Williams, Finn and Arnold each added 11 points. 
• Jewell shot 46% (12-of-26) from long range and outscored Truman 13-4 in the fast break.
