INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - William Jewell guard
Kobe McKinley has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
The junior posted his second double-double of the season on Saturday with 20 points and a career high 12 rebounds, including four on the offensive end as the Cardinals defeated Southern Indiana 64-60. This was Jewell's first win over the Screaming Eagles since 2018 and the program's first-ever win on the road against USI.
This is the first weekly honor of McKinley's career and the first for the Cardinals since Keith Hayes in January 2019.
