CABOT, Ark. - The William Jewell women's golf team opened the spring portion of their schedule on Monday and Tuesday at the Natural State Golf Classic where they placed tenth.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Frida Hammarlund shot a 157 over the two-day event, including a 78 in round one and finish in a tie for 22nd to lead the Cardinals. The junior was eighth on par threes and finished with a team high five birdies.
- Madelyn Luttjohann and Emma Litterscheid were tied for 50th and 56th respectively with scores of 165 and 168.
- Katye Vausbinder and Abby Wolff rounded out the Jewell field with a 171 and 178.
- As a team, the Cardinals were tied for fifth in the field with 12 birdies and were one of four teams with an Eagle, scored by Luttjohann.

The Cardinals are off until March 21 when they travel to Bolivar, Missouri for the Midwest Intercollegiate Invitational, hosted by Central Missouri.
