LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell men's soccer team posted three unanswered goals on Sunday to defeat Southwest Baptist 3-1 and move to 1-1-1 on the season and in GLVC play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Southwest Baptist grabbed an early lead with a goal from Ignacio Masalli in the 15th minute. 
• The Cardinals rallied, first with a goal by Cole Bulgren from eight yards on the left side to tie the game. Walker Bond then broke away less than two minutes later, to the center and found the back of the net from 15 yards to put Jewell on top. 
• In the second half, Carson Lee converted a penalty kick in the 57th minute while the defense held strong. 

KEY STATS

• Jewell posted 14 shots with eight on goal, to out shoot the Bearcats by six. 
• Bond finished with a match high five shots, including three on goal, with a score. 
• Dillon Byrkit and Alexis Ibarra posted their first career assists.
