INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Frida Hammarlund has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference women's golf Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Thursday. 
 
The senior led the Cardinals this week at the Kansas City Cup, taking the individual medalist honors with a score of 219 to break the NCAA era school record for a 54-hole tournament. The mark surpassed the 225 posted by Alex Trask at the 2016 GLVC Championship. Additionally, she put up a tournament-high 11 birdies and tied her career low round of 71 in round two.
 
This is the first GLVC Player of the Week honor of Hammarlund's career and the first for the Cardinals since Trask in September 2017.
