SBU Notches 2-0 Victory Over William Jewell

BOLIVAR, Mo. - The William Jewell women's soccer team lost their contest Friday night on the road to Southwest Baptist University, 2-0, moving to 1-12-1 on the season and 1-9-1 in the GLVC.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Cardinals were quick to put up shots, including three in the first 25 minutes by Brylee Rivera, Kim Munoz, and Anea Bemo, but none were able to find the net.
  • Jewell came out of halftime down one, Rivera put up a shot on goal but the team was unable to get to the net in the second half while giving up a goal to the Bulldogs before the second period ended.

Jewell will be back on the pitch Sunday at noon as they take on the Drury Panthers.
