INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - William Jewell College midfielder
Anya Linstrom was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Offensive Player of the Week in women's soccer, it was announced by the league office on Monday.
The freshman notched five points on two goals and an assist between the Cardinals' two games last week, including the first win of the season, 2-1 vs. Truman State. Against the Bulldogs, she netted the team's first goal while collecting her first career assist on what would go on to be the game winner in addition to four total shots and two shots on goal. This is Linstrom's first career Offensive Player of the Week Award, and the last Cardinal to be named Offensive Player of the Week since Allison Malott in October 2018.
