LIBERTY, Mo. – The William Jewell women's soccer team fell in their final non-conference match of the season 2-0 at home, hosting the Missouri Western State University Griffons. The Cardinals drop to 0-3 on the season.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• After Jewell spent the opening minutes in Griffon territory, MWSU was able to use a quick cross to establish a lead in the 14th minute. 
• In the 36th minute, the Griffons added another goal but Jessica Baker was able to stop a ricochet on a corner kick to stop a goal as time wound down in the first half.
• The Cardinals went down fighting, getting a final shot on goal as Brylee Rivera sped past the Griffon defense but the shot was saved as time expired. 

 
KEY STATS

• Jewell was let by Rivera who had two shots, both on goal. 
• Keeper Jenna Skeeters had a career high nine saves.
