LIBERTY, Mo. – The William Jewell women's soccer team fell 1-0 on Friday evening to Oklahoma Christian University in the first home game of the season. The Cardinals move to 0-2 on the season.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Cardinals came out swinging totaling three shots in the first 15 minutes, but none were able to find the back of the net.
• After trading corner kicks late in the first half, both teams went to halftime tied at zero. 
• Jewell allowed their only goal of the match with an open goal in the 55^thminute off of a cross and were unable to answer with any goals of their own down the stretch. 

 
KEY STATS

• Jewell took eight shots, five of them on goal. Kim Munoz came off the bench with three shots, two of which on goal.
• Freshman Jenna Skeeters posted six saves in the loss.
