LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's basketball team suffered a 91-71 loss on Saturday at the hands of Indianapolis. The Cardinals move to 4-11 overall and 2-7 in conference play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The first quarter was the Emree Zars show as the sophomore was perfect from the floor on her way to 17 of the Cardinals first 25 points. A jumper from Libby Arnold ended the first period and gave Jewell the 25-24 lead. 
• The Greyhounds used a quick 12-2 run to go back on top by nine. Jewell closed the period with back-to-back threes from Ayden Shannon and Kate Hillyer made it a 44-37 score at the half. 
• UIndy used a 32-point third quarter, shooting 67% from the floor, to separate themselves as the Cardinals fell behind 76-53 heading into the final frame. 
• Jewell outscored UIndy in the finale 10 minutes, 18-15, pulling back with 14 after two free throws from Chloe Frank but could get no closer. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Zars finished with a game high 21 points to go with eight rebounds. 
• Hillyer again shined off the bench, scoring a season high 18 while Shannon added a dozen. 
• The Cardinals were limited to 39% from the floor and 27% from long range compared to 53% by UIndy.
• Jewell committed just three turnovers, the lowest total since December 7, 2013 against Central Christian Bible.
