BOLIVAR, Mo. - The William Jewell men's basketball team hit 17 three point field goals on Wednesday night on their way to an 89-74 win over Southwest Baptist. The Cardinals move to 8-4 on the season and 2-2 in conference action. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Jewell started hot, jumping out to a 14 point lead midway through the first half after back-to-back triples from Isaac Patterson. The Bearcats were able to cut their deficit in half but the Cardinals held a 46-37 lead at the break. 
• Threes from Patterson, Kobe McKinley, and Trey Shannon opened the second half much like the first as the Cards expanded their lead back to 14.
• Jewell maintained a double digit lead for majority of the second half with another triple from Patterson gave the Cardinals their largest lead at 17 with under a minute to go to seal the win. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Patterson scored a career high 32 points on 8-of-10 from long range to set the NCAA era for single game three pointers. 
• Jordan Jermain added 17 points, going 8-for-8 from the free throw line, with Shannon scoring 16 and McKinley 14. 
• Overall, the Cardinals were 17-of-33 from three point land and 24-for-27 from the charity stripe.
