INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - William Jewell College junior guard
Isaac Patterson has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Player of the Week in men's basketball, it was announced by the league office Monday.
Patterson averaged 25 points last week, which included a career-high 32 point output on Wednesday at Southwest Baptist, to go with 6.5 rebounds, and four steals per game. The junior shot 66% from the field, and 70% from long range, including an NCAA era record eight triples to lead the Cardinals to the road win at SBU. In a key victory over Illinois Springfield on Saturday, he scored 18 points and led the team with eight rebounds and five steals while hitting a game tying three with four minutes to play after which the Cardinals retook the lead for good after trailing by double digits.Â
This is the first honor of his career for Patterson and the second of the season for the Cardinals, joining
Kobe McKinley's nod on November 20.Â
