KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The William Jewell men's soccer team lost 1-0 against Truman State on Sunday afternoon. The one-goal decision would drop the men to 3-5-3 in the regular season and a 1-5-2 conference mark.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The teams were evenly matched in the first half with Jewell having seven shots while the Bulldogs collected six but none would find the net as teams went into the intermission tied at zero.
• The Cardinals posted four shots on goal in the opening 11 minutes of the second half, a pair from Walker Bond, one from Zach Nichols, and one from Keketso Lipholo but all would come up stopped by Truman to keep the game scoreless.
• The Bulldogs would score with 12 minutes left and Jewell would be unable to answer as they would drop the contest 1-0.

• Umberto DiCarlo had four saves getting the start in goal.
• Bond led Jewell with three shots, followed by two shots from five different Cardinals.
