KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The William Jewell women's soccer team lost to their crosstown rival Rockhurst University on Sunday afternoon, 1-0. The Kansas City Crown loss drops Jewell to 3-8-2 in the regular season and to a 2-6-2 conference record.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Jewell was unable to get close enough to get a shot off in the first half, but teams went into the locker room tied at zero as keeper Emily Glassman registered six saves on 14 Hawk shots in the first 45 minutes.
• The Cardinals got their first shot in the 53' courtesy of Kim Munoz but the attempt would miss left.
• Rockhurst broke the tie in the 78' to take the lead in what finished a 1-0 Hawks victory.

 
KEY STATS

• Glassman had 13 saves on 28 shots faced, a season high for the senior who was one save shy of tying her career record of 14 saves (at McKendree, Oct. 2, 2022)
• Munoz and Maddy Follmer were the only two Cardinals to have a shot in the game, each with two, while the latter having the only shot on goal for Jewell.
