KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The William Jewell volleyball team wrapped up the 2024 season on Saturday at Rockhurst University. The Cardinals fell 3-0, to finish 7-22 overall and 1-12 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Rockhurst broke out to a 13-2 lead behind five early service aces. Jewell got two kills from Bella LaPorta and Madison Grekstas to get back within 10 but the Hawks finished on a 10-0 run to win 25-5. 
• The Cardinals fell behind 16-8 in set two but got two LaPorta kills to lead a rally and pull within 24-18 before a service error ended the set. 
• The Hawks again took a big early lead and rolled to a 25-10 win in the finale. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The Hawks hit a blistering .458 while holding Jewell to just -.011. 
• LaPorta finished with a team high 10 kills with Lauren Harrell having 10 assists. 
• Alexis Nunn had a team best nine digs.
