CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The William Jewell women's wrestling team wrapped up the 2023-2024 season at the National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships (NCWWC). The Cardinals have qualified at least one athlete to the national championship tournament in each of the program's first three seasons.
Rookie
Alex Waitsman went 2-2 on the weekend, falling in the consolation fourth round, one shy of All-America status. Meanwhile junior,
Athena Willden who made her second appearance at the national level and first as a Cardinal was also 2-2, finishing in the consolation third round.
