ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The William Jewell women's lacrosse team concluded their inaugural season on Sunday at Missouri Western. The Cardinals fell 18-5 to finish the year 1-15 overall and 0-8 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Trailing 2-0 early, Kaylee Gross got the Cardinals on the board with a score and added another seven minutes later. 
• Jewell was held scoreless for nearly 27 minutes under Gross scored her third goal of the game midway through the third period. Addison Devers followed with a player-up goal in the final seconds of the quarter. 
• Gross scored again in the fourth frame for the final goal of the season. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Gross led the Cardinals with a season high four goals on seven shots on goal while also causing a team best three turnovers. 
• The Cardinals were 10-of-12 on clears and picked up 16 ground balls, led by Sara Polovina's four.

Jewell will graduate only one player in Devers and have currently signed nine players for 2025.
