LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's soccer team lost to the No. 18 McKendree Bearcats on Friday evening, by a final score of 4-2. The loss drops Jewell to 1-4 on the season and winless through two conference games.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Teams would battle back and forth for the first 30 minutes before a Bearcat goal would make it 1-0, a score that teams would take into the halftime break.
• McKendree would find the back of the net two minutes into the second half, 15 minutes later Clara Fronabarger would line up for a free kick from 18 yards out and send it past the keeper's right arm to make it 2-1 McKendree
• After a pair of Bearcat goals, the senior Fronabarger would again find the back of the net. Her second goal of the game would slice through traffic in the box to make it 4-2.
• Jewell would stop McKendree from scoring the rest of the half but were unable to score themselves, resulting in the 4-2 final score.

 
KEY STATS

• Emily Glassman would play the full 90 minutes in goal for Jewell, collecting eight saves including six in the second half.
• Fronabarger's two-goal game is the first multi-goal game in the Republic, Missouri natives career.
• Jewell would be outshot 16-to-4, and collect only two corner kicks to the Bearcat's 10.
