LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's soccer lost 8-0 to the Maryville Saints Sunday afternoon. The loss drops Jewell to 1-5 and 0-3 in conference play.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Maryville got on the board early and often, netting five goals in the first 17 minutes of play. 
• Late in the half Aimee Núñez would get a shot up, and Clara Fronabarger would get two shots before the break, but teams would go into halftime with a 7-0 score.
• Riley Frasure-Smith would get the Cardinal's lone shot on goal in the second half, a low burner that would be stopped in the middle of the goal in the 65'.
• The Saints would get a goal with 12 seconds remaining to give the final 8-0 result. 

 
KEY STATS

• Goalkeeper Jenna Skeeters would check into the game in the 25', allowing just two goals on six shots and collecting four saves.
• 13 of the 18 shots for Maryville would be on goal, compared to just two of the five shots from Jewell.
• Grace Reineke would log a season-high 61 minutes off the bench.
