ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The William Jewell men's soccer team lost 1-0 to Lewis University on Friday night. The loss drops Jewell to 2-3-2 on the season and 0-3-1 in GLVC play.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Flyers came out of the gate quickly, posting seven shots in the first 30 minutes of action compared to Jewell's one, an upper decker from freshman Caua Nascimento that went high.
• Teams would maintain a 0-0 stalemate throughout the second half. A shot by Brian Vidal would miss right in the 77' and keep it scoreless for both squads.
• A goal with just over two minutes left by the Fylers would be enough as Lewis would capture the 1-0 victory. 

 
KEY STATS

• Umberto DiCarlo would tally six saves again as he did on Sunday, allowing the only goal of the game.
• Nascimento would led the Cardinals with two shots, while Vidal would tack on one.
• The Fylers would outshoot Jewell 17-3, however only the 87' goal would be a shot on goal for Lewis.
