INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The William Jewell men's soccer dropped their Sunday afternoon contest on the road against the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds, 2-0. With the loss the Cardinals fall to 2-4-2 and remain winless in the GLVC at 0-4-1.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• After getting his first start this season, junior Dillon Byrkit would launch three shots in the first three minutes, including one shot on goal that was stopped by the Greyhounds keeper in the bottom left corner.
• Jewell would get one more shot off during the half, courtesy of Alex Tomasella, but would go into the intermission trailing 2-0.
• The Cardinals would collect seven second half shots, including two shots on goal by Zach Nichols, but would be unable to mount a comeback and would lose 2-0 with the defense pitching a second half shutout.

 
KEY STATS

• Jewell keeper Umberto DiCarlo would allow two goals and tally four saves in his 90 minutes in the net.
• Byrkit would have career highs in single game shots and shots on goal with six and two, respectively.
