BOLIVAR, Mo. - The William Jewell men's and women's cross country teams opened the 2024 season on Friday evening at the Bearcat Invitational, hosted by Southwest Baptist. The women's team finished tenth overall while the men were competing unattached. 

WOMEN (5K)

• Lottie Vickers led Jewell with a 51^st place finish and a 21:11.00 time.
• Landen Wilson would score a 22:42.48, finishing 79^th.
• Senior Brooke Ware and sophomore Sadie Camp would round out the Cardinal women with times of 24:06.56 and 24:27.99, respectively. 

MEN (4 Mile)

• Samson Selleck finished with a time of 23:25.35 to lead the men. 
• Sincere Davis followed with 24:08.03, while Justin Edwards posted a time of 27:53.47 and sophomore Kavan Phillips a 29:56.14.
