Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Late Game Fireworks Result In 1-1 Tie

Liberty, Mo. – On the back end of a double header, the William Jewell Men's soccer team tied the Truman State Bulldogs in a hard-fought battle 1-1. This tie brings their record to 2-6-3 on the season. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Jewell's Elliot Labeth Struck first at the 8' mark 
• The Bulldogs scored the final goal tying it up at. 1-1 just after half in the 54'.
• Umberto DiCarlo saved the Bulldogs penalty kick to keep the game tied at the 85' mark.

KEY STATS
• DiCarlo Umberto set a new career high of seven saves.
• Elliot Labeth scored his third goal of the season.
• Starting at the 67' mark there were 10 yellow cards and 1 red (5 Jewell, 6 Truman).     
• Nolan Piedimonte had two shots on goal.

Next weekend Jewell finishes off their homestretch against Rockhurst Friday October 17, and Southwest Baptist University on Sunday, both GLVC matchups.
