LIBERTY, Mo. – The William Jewell men's soccer team lsot 4-1 to Rockhurst Friday night with an energetic crowd on hand to watch. The Cardinals are 2-7-3 after the loss and are 1-5-3 in GLVC play.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Kanosh Abdulameer took the first shot of the game for Jewell but was stopped by the Hawks keeper to keep it at zero all.
• Rockhurst netted two goals to go into the half up 2-0.
• Within one minute of the Hawks going up 3-0, Jewell's Alexis Ibarra forced a shot past the defense into the back of the net with a blissful assist from Zach Nichols to cut the lead to two. Rockhurst would score once more for the 4-1 final.

 
KEY STATS

• Aldo Bryant got the start in goal for the Cardinals, allowing three goals with two saves. He would be replaced by freshamn Keegan Tully in the 61' who allowed the final goal.
• Ibarra's goal was the third of the year.
