LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's soccer team has wrapped up their first of two games this weekend with a 3-1 loss against Rockhurst. Jewell is 1-8-3 after the loss, with a 1-6-3 GLVC record.
HOW IT HAPPENED
● Rockhurst opened up with three goals in the first half at the 2' 4' and 18' marks.
● Jewell returned with a goal of their own from senior Lux Sands at the 39' mark.
● Although Jewell prevented Rockhurst from scoring any more goals in the half, Rockhurst held off Jewell with a 3-1 win.
KEY STATS
● Freshman Hailey Davin led the team with 5 saves in the first half, while junior Jenna Skeeters led the team with five saves in the second half, combining 10 total saves.
● Sands' goal was her ninth of the year.
