Cardinals Return Home to Host Lincoln in 2025 Finale

THIS WEEK'S ACTION:
vs. Lincoln University of Missouri (2-8, 0-7 GLVC)

Saturday, November 15, 2025
1:00 PM • Greene Stadium (Liberty, Mo.)

CARDINAL NOTES
  • William Jewell (2-8, 0-7 GLVC) returns home for the 2025 finale this weekend to host Lincoln University of Missouri (2-8, 0-7 GLVC). The Cardinals and Blue Tigers have met six times in their history with Jewell taking five of those meetings, including last season's 48-20 road victory.
  • Jewell is coming off a 35-17 loss last weekend at Truman State. After spotting the Bulldogs a 25-point lead, the Cardinals got a touchdown pass to Nate Barnett to cut the lead in half but could get no closer.
  • Saturday will serve as Senior Day for the Cardinals who will recognize 21 seniors prior to kick off, including Logan Williams, Layne Cavanah, Reece Thomas, Kevin Roberson, AJ Austene, Angelo Batrez, Dominic Garcia, Amani Robinson, Eric Ohmer, Justin Osburn, Alex King, Beau Doughty, Dylan Tighe, Nash Gagliano, Andrew Bontrager, Joron McCorkle, Oto Wada, Hunter Scott, Cole Walters, Logan Hilliard, and Justin Endicott.
  • Tyler Kubat will look to become the first Cardinal quarterback since 2019 to accumulate more than 2,000 passing yards before the season is up. The redshirt sophomore needs 97 yards to reach the plateau. He enters the final week of the regular season eighth in the GLVC in passing yards, seventh in passing yards per game (211.3), and third in completion percentage at better than 65%.
  • This week's match up features two teams still searching for their first GLVC win and will determine who finishes eighth in the league and who is ninth. Both Jewell and Lincoln won their first two games of the season but have since dropped eight straight. The Cardinals will look to win their Senior Day game for the second consecutive year.
  • Derrick Von Hubbard and Parker Cummins have become a challenging dual threat along the defensive line as the pair are both among the top-10 in the GLVC in sacks, as Jewell is one of only two schools (Upper Iowa) have two players on the list. The duo average 0.6 and 0.5 sacks per game, respectively, and have combined for 10.5 total (68 yards) and 18.5 tackles for loss this season.
  • Moses Harper is in his second season as the head coach for Lincoln but is a familiar face for Jewell, having served as an assistant coach for the Cardinals from 2019-2021 after which he moved on to Missouri Western and Nebraska Kearney before landing with the Blue Tigers.
